DOTD gives tips to weather the storm

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — In Baton Rouge, the Department of Transportation is urging motorists to try to stay off the roadways as much as possible this Labor Day weekend.
Heavy flooding is expected with some twenty inches of rain on the streets . If at all possible you should limit your travelling this weekend.
DOTD spokesperson lauren lee has these simple tips if you have to be driving.
"Watch out for falling trees, avoid driving too closely to other vehicles, keep a safe distance between you and another vehicle, and don't drive through standing water. " - said DOTD Public Information Officer Lauren Lee
