Donaldsonville, La (NBC33) — In Donaldsonville, people there are hoping a new project brings new business.

The city's getting a $780,000 state grant to complete a levee improvement project.

Local business owners and residents say they're excited to get the project underway. They say any improvement that brings good attention to Donaldsonville is alright by them.

The project grant comes from funding from the Capitol Outlay Bill.
