The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality says there's some concern about the number of Ozone Action Days the state has seen.

"It's not terrible, but it's not good", says Rodney Mallet with the DEQ.

Mallett says when the weather is as hot as it is, combined with no wind and smoke from wildfires in Arizona - the air is becoming polluted to the point where action needs to be taken.

The DEQ says we've been 6 Ozone Action Days in a row.  That means the quality of the air is unhealthy for people with breathing problems.

On Ozone Action Days, Mallet says it's best to not cut grass during the day, or gas up your car before 6pm.
