Deputy killed in tragic shootout to be laid to rest on Wednesday

METAIRIE, La (NBC33) — Deputy Brandon Nielson, one of the deputies killed in the recent shootout in St. John the Baptist Parish, will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Nielson's funeral will be at the Lake Lawn Funeral Home in Metairie at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
The family will hold a visitation beginning on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.; that service will also be at Lake Lawn Funeral Home.
