Louisiana (NBC33) — Lieutentant Governor Jay Dardenne is out of the hospital after successful surgery for prostate cancer, which was performed last week in New orleans.

The cancer wasn't aggressive, and since it was caught early, he's expected to make a full recovery.

Dardenne has been resting at home, but still coordinating day to day decisions with this staff.
