COEA Mardi Gras parade set to roll on Friday

Gonzales, La — Today, the COEA - Arc of East Ascension will be presenting their Mardi Gras parade, and is asking community residents to come and show their support. The event takes place at the Elder Care facility on Purpera Rd in Gonzales.
The COEA organizes the parade for the clients who utilize the facilities.
Executive Secretary Ladonna Sanders explains, "We’ve been doing this for a number of years. It’s such a joy to see how happy and excited our clients get. They love their gatherings, and it certainly shows."
According to our news partners at The Creole, festivities begin at 10 a.m., with the crowing of the Mardi Gras King and Queen. Music and refreshments will also be provided.
