There's a new way to use the website for the City of Baton Rouge. Now, you can check out videos, meetings, and community events all in one place.

The city has revamped its BRgov.com website in order to get the community more involved.

If you miss a council meeting, but still want to know what happened, you'll be able to search and view results by topic.

Starting today, all the information put on the site will be kept for three years.

"I think it will help us be better public servants. We can help get information out the public much faster and much more comprehensively,” stated District Five Councilwoman Ronnie Edwards. “I think it even goes beyond the local citizen. I think it just broadens our ability to be knowledgeable about what's going on in our own community."

The website even includes a section where you can pay your city court tickets online.

Also, you can conveniently access it from your cell phone or tablet.
