Chief Judge Ralph Tyson dies
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Sources tell NBC33 News Chief Judge Ralph Tyson has died.
Tyson was the Chief Judge of the Louisiana Middle District. He was appointed to that position by President Clinton in 1998.
Tyson completed his education at LSU, and spent time teaching both there, and at Southern University.
Most recently, Judge Tyson presided over a case involving former New Roads Mayor Tommy Nelson in Operation Blighted Officials.
