Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Downtown Baton Rouge could soon see a new trolley system if the Capital Area Transit System Board of Commissioners approve that plan at a meeting today. 

The plan is called Trolley Rouge and an all-day unlimited pass would cost $10.

The goal of the trolley system is to shuttle LSU football fans around Baton Rouge to local attractions on Saturdays and Sundays.

Private funding will cover 75% of the $14,000 cost of Trolley Rouge; the rest comes from riders’ fares.
