State Fire Marshal H. “Butch” Browning and Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain has lifted and resends the cease and desist order on outdoor burning issued on September 17, 2013 for the following 32 Louisiana parishes:

Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Calcasieu, Caldwell, Catahoula, Claiborne, DeSoto, Evangeline, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, LaSalle, Lincoln, Morehouse, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Rapides, Red River, Richland, Sabine, Union, Vernon, Webster, West Carroll, Winn.

Effective October 1, 2013 at 9:00 am, outdoor burning will be allowed. The burning will be subject to any and all state, local government or fire department regulations or laws.

The public is urged to use caution in any involving activities outdoor burning.
