Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Scientists at LSU's Agricultural Center are looking at bugs to study the impact of the crisis on the coast.
An entomologist says bugs can be indicators of stress and determine the impact of the oil crisis on sea life.
Studies are being set up to look at other creatures, including birds and oysters.
The studies will be used to learn more about how the oil spill affected the food chain on the Gulf of Mexico.
