The Baton Rouge Police Department will host the 15th Annual Gulf Coast Police Motorcycle Skills Competition to benefit the Dream Day Foundation.

The competition will take place on October 15-19, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., in the south parking lot of Cabela’s (I-10 and LA Highway 30) in Gonzales. The event is free and open to the public.

Over 146 motorcycle officers representing law enforcement agencies from nine states are expected to participate in timed competitions designed to simulate maneuvers and emergency situations faced by motorcycle officers during their regular duties.

Since it began the event has raised over $700,000 for the Dream Day Foundation, which supports St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
