Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A small business owner says he's starting his own version of a chamber of commerce to help small businesses in Baton Rouge.

Bob Breaux has formed the group called the Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge Parish.

The group’s focus is to help small businesses get what they need to be profitable.

Breaux says the Chamber of Commerce isn't competing with BRAC, but will have a different focus.

"Small businesses have different needs than Wall Street businesses. We're main stream businesses - small businesses are home grown and we want to speak for them," stated Breaux. 

Breaux goes on to say he's not trying to compete against the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, but instead is hoping to add to what they do every day.
