The Zacahry Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect wanted for using a stolen credit card.

The victim's wallet was stolen from her purse at a local store.

The suspect, a black female, went to Winn Dixie in Zachary and charged the card twice - $510.57 the first time and $508.68 for the second transaction, totalling $1,019.25.

This could be so easily avoided if only the stores would make the credit card carrier show PROOF OF IDENITY when using the card, no store requires this and the store should be 100% responseable for all the charges on a persons stolen card, not the person the card is stolen from. This should be a policy that ALL STORES need to use to stop fraud from happening, I dont mind showing my I D , why because I DONT STEAL A PERSONS CARDS, so why would anyone have a problem to keep that from happeining.
