Annual ride-n-roll event takes over BREC’s Extreme Sports Park

BREC’s Perkins Rd. Extreme Sports Park will be taken over this weekend by skateboarders, rock climbers and BMX riders as they come to participate and compete in the annual Ride-n-Roll event.

Rukus and Capitol Cyclery are proud to present the extreme event where people of all ages can come out to enjoy skateboard and fingerboard, BMX and rock climbing contests, family games and helmet giveaways. Contest winners will receive cash prizes. Raising Cane’s Freestyle BMX Pro Terry Adams will be in attendance demonstrating tricks.

New this year is the Family Adventure Race presented by BREC’s Outdoor Adventure Team and Varsity Sports.

The Family Adventure Race will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and the official Ride-n-Roll event will begin at noon at the Perkins Rd. Extreme Sports Park and end at 4 p.m.

Ride-n-Roll is brought to the community by: Rukus, Capitol Cyclery, DIG Magazine, Mid-City Bikes, Monster Energy Drinks, Raising Cane's, Rotolo’s, Urban 9 Skateshop, and Vitamin Water.

The Perkins Road Community Park is located at 7122 Perkins Rd., Baton Rouge, LA.
