American Idol contestant and Louisiana native heads home

In Westlake, La. there is only one thing on people's minds: American Idol contestant Joshua Ledet.

"I came out to support my boy Josh," said fan Jada Gallien. "I think he really sings out of this world."

The 20-year-old was in town to film his American Idol homecoming episode. Westlake through a true Louisiana party. They through a big parade featuring tons of floats and bands all for the hometown hero.

" There is no body better than that," said fan Joyce Stout. "He can sing a James Brown song like that oh it was so wonderful."

Those who know Josh say singing has always been Josh's true love.

"Anywhere you can find him, Josh is singing," said Gallien. "No matter in the house at church and where ever so Josh is singing."

For the people of Westlake Saturday's parade is something they'll never forget.

"It's good to see someone who is such a good human being to rise to this, and maybe see his dreams come true," said Stout.

Ledet's fans say they'll always cherish Josh no matter what happens on American Idol.

"The people they finally have something to be proud of," said Gallien. "In our area a lot of people say nothing good comes from our area, but we finally have something good that came out our area which is Josh. "

This week Ledet will go up against Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez as the final three compete to go to the final two this Wednesday on our sister station FOX44.
