Ambassadors of Laughter helping kids read in BR
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The circus has come to town early, well, sort of. Dave and his wife Sherry are part of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s Ambassadors of Laughter.
Although the circus will not be in town for another couple of weeks, the Ambassadors of Laughter are in town early as a part of the Reading with Ringling program.
The goal is to teach kids the importance of reading through a little laughter, and even some magic.
"Oh my goodness, we're going to do some juggling, we're going to have lots of fun and we're going to let everyone pick their noses. I meant their clown noses, let me clarify that, sorry, their clown noses, that's right. Otherwise, that's not funny, no," Dave the clown said with a chuckle.
Today Dave and Sherry were at First Step Day Care, and they read the book Maximilian the Great to the kids.
