Acadian Ambulance’s Baton Rouge operations moved from Florida Boulevard to their new home on Interline Avenue last week.

Called “Baton Rouge Central,” the new facility will serve as the main location for Acadian’s ground ambulance operations and crews in the Capital area. It will also be home to their Baton Rouge administration offices. In addition, it will be the area hub of many different departments within the Acadian name, as Acadian Ambulance’s sister companies Acadian Monitoring Services and the National EMS Academy will also have offices in the building.

The acquisition and renovation of the 18-thousand square foot, two story building began last February, and the first crew change took place on Jan. 31.

“This project was made possible through hard work and collaboration of many members,” said Justin Cox, operations manager. “We are extremely excited to be in our new home, but even more excited to provide a better working environment for our team.”

Acadian Ambulance is committed to their patients and their communities. They are an emergency and non-emergency medical transportation provider to Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi.

Since 1971, Acadian has provided the highest level of emergency medical care and transportation possible. In the past decade, the company has expanded to include a diverse suite of services in health, safety, and transportation. Acadian’s six divisions are Acadian Ambulance Service, Acadian Monitoring Services, Air Med, Executive Aircraft Charter Service, National EMS Academy and Safety Management Systems.
