LIVINGSTON, LA (NBC33) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's office says a five year old girl died after being crushed by an elevator.

Officials say the incident happened around 2:00 p.m. at a home on Oak Ridge Drive. The child's name hasn't been released.

Detectives are still working to determine how the accident occured.
