DONALDSONVILLE, LA (NBC33) — On this day 79 years ago, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were shot and killed by officers during an ambush in Bienville Parish. Coincidentally, today is also the day that a miniseries about the crime couple wrapped production in Donaldsonville.
For the past six weeks, the series has utilized locations in St. Gabriel, Port Allen, Livonia, St. Francisville, and Baton Rouge. Although the official wrap date isn’t until tomorrow, today was the finale for the Donaldsonville locations.
The Louisiana State Police Criminal Records division released its connection to the couple. They posted Clyde Barrow’s fingerprint card. It reads, “Shot and killed with Bonnie Parker near Acadia (Bienville Parish), Louisiana Wednesday, May 23, 1934.”
Bonnie and Clyde is set to debut later this year on three major cable channels. A&E, History, and Lifetime will simulcast the two-night series.
