LIVINGSTON PARISH, La (NBC33) – Livingston Parish just keeps growing. Now, cell phone service is becoming better, stronger and faster.

AT&T announced six new mobile broadband cell sites in lower Livingston Parish. This includes Port Vincent, French Settlement, Frost, Head of Island, Diversion Canal, and Maurepas.

The new additions will increase mobile broadband speeds for customers in that area, which will allow faster web surfing, downloads, and speed of applications.

“Livingston Parish is a fast-growing area of our state and investment in the mobile broadband network is critical to keeping the region competitive in providing our residents with the best technology,” State Rep. Mert Smiley said in a press release. “Private sector investment helps spur innovation and creativity.”

“Supporting mobile broadband growth is our No. 1 investment priority,” said Rick Demint, regional director, AT&T Louisiana. “By adding coverage in lower Livingston Parish, our customers can stay connected – it’s all about being where our customers want us.”
