Livingston Parish Chief Criminal Deputy Jason Ard will run for Sheriff

WATSON, La (NBC33) - Livingston Parish Chief Criminal Deputy Jason Ard announced saturday his plans to run for sheriff.

This happened when Livingston Parish Sheriff Willie Graves who has been sheriff since 1996 won't run for re-election on october twenty second.

Ard has served in the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office for more than seventeen years.

Ard feels that his exstensive experience and community involvement will make him a good choice.

Good luck to him but I prefer someone with at least a college degree being in charge of collecting taxes for the entire parish.
