Living on well water

Assumption Parish Water Company officials say a higher demand for water over the weekend was the cause for outages.

Several areas in the parish have been with little to no water since Friday.

Officials say a big part of the problem is how folks prepared for the cold weather.

They say too many faucets were left running overnight, and that led to a drop in water pressure.

Many are relying on well water for basic needs.
