CONVENT, La. (AP) - A 33-year-old Ama man has been sentenced to
life in prison without parole for killing a man abducted from a car
wash.
Terrell Stipe was found guilty in of shooting 26-year-old Keelan
Irving, of Gonzales, following a trial in June. He was sentenced
Wednesday in Convent.
Authorities say Stipe kidnapped Irvin from an Ascension Parish
car wash in December 2005, drove him to St. James Parish and killed
him.
Investigators say Stipe apparently was attempting to steal rims
off Irvin's vehicle.
Irvin's body was found nearly a week after his family reported
him missing.
