BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - The 2010 U.S Census numbers are in - and Census officials say Louisiana is losing one congressional district.
Currently - there are 7 districts in the state. After redistricting - only 6 will remain.
The loss of one seat also means Louisiana will have one less vote in the Electoral College - the way the President of the United States is elected.
We'll have more on the numbers and what it means for the State tonight on NBC33 News at 5:00.
