Krotz Spring Police Chief running patrol alone
KROTZ SPRINGS, La (NBC33) – A newly elected police chief is on the streets without any back up.
Norman Mouille took office over the weekend, but all of his officers walked off the job. Officers say they didn’t have any assurance they’d have jobs with the new chief, so they decided to take action of their own.
The Saint Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is assisting with patrols on the streets. In the meantime, Chief Mouille is looking for applications and wants to have some officers ready for council approval within the week.
