April 2, 2011 — DENHAM SPRINGS (NBC33) - Juban Parc Elementary held it's first carnival today.

Youngsters slid down slides and rode around in a train. They even got to check out a helicopter, and a riot truck brought out by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

The school featured a carnival and a silent auction to raise money for playground equipment.

Principal Kathryn Blackwell said the kids really had a great time.

"I think the major line has been at the dunking booth today, we've had several teachers in that dunking booth, I think we even had our dare officer Patrick Bedwell in that dunking booth." said Blackwell.
