Governor Bobby Jindal prepares for one of the biggest nights of his political career. The Governor is about to step into the prime-time spotlight to deliver the Republican Party’s response to President Obama’s first speech to Congress.

The President is scheduled to speak at 8:00 tonight. His address should last about 45 minutes and five minutes after the speech concludes, Jindal takes center stage and will go live right here in the foyer area of the mansion. Jindal’s speech will be centered around the Republican’s Party ideas about how to revive the U.S. economy.

Jindal has been quite vocal about his opposition to the $787 billion stimulus package and he says that bill will not be the focus tonight. He’s allowed one minute for every minute the President speaks, but he’s going to keep his speech short to only about ten minutes long because Jindal says, after all it is Mardi Gras.
