Jindal Plans to Line Item Veto

Governor Bobby Jindal plans to pull out his veto pen.

The Governor will veto the contingency language in the budget bill that contains 278 million dollars in spending which is tied to separate legislation.

Lawmakers will now have to figure out how to recap some that money.

The governor promised to work with legislators to make sure some of that money is restored to higher education.
