ST. GABRIEL, La (NBC33) -- Saturday afternoon started the 16th annual LCIW Children's Christmas Extravaganza.

It's a chance for incarcerated mom's and grandmothers to spend a day with their kids and grandkids with a little bit of Ghristmas cheer.

Volunteers from insight for inmates turn the LCIW's gym into santa's workshop with toys for all of the inmates' children and grand children.

Today the kids got to see their moms, and santa.
