Holden woman dies in car crash
WALKER, LA (NBC33) — Trudy Hebert, 50, of Holden, La was killed in a car crash that happened over the weekend on Saturday, May 21. The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on LA 447 south of I-12.
Hebert was driving south on LA 447 when she crossed into the center lane into oncoming traffic. That’s when she hit a truck being driven by Richard McManus, 57, of Denham Springs head on in the northbound lane. Her car was pushed off the road and then began to roll until it landed on the roof in a ditch. Hebert was pronounced dead on the scene. McManus was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Troopers do not believe alcohol was a factor in this accident, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts. No charges are expected to be filed, and the crash remains under investigation.
