H1N1 vaccine available this week

Parish health units across the state will host walk-in H1N1 vaccine clinics, all this week.

Officials said they received reports that hospitals and doctors offices in the south have seen an increase in flu-like illnesses.

The Department of Health and Hospitals is pushing folks to take preventative measures. No appointments will be needed for vaccinations this week, and the shots are free.
