Gun Found on Zachary High Campus

A gun seized from a student at Zachary High school has police investigating the possibility of an alleged fight club on campus.
Officers say on Friday, December 11 an unloaded semi-automatic pistol was found a ninth-grader’s backpack.
The say the suspect admitted to stealing the gun from his father and bringing it to school to defend himself in an after school fight.
Police are however not finished with their investigation. It’s believed some students may be involved in a type of underground “fight club.”
Detectives are following all leads to determine whether or not the hand gun they found last week had any connection to the alleged club.
Investigators say as of right now, there has been no evidence indicating the existence of the supposed “fight club.”
