Volunteer organization teaches money management skills to elementary school students

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Young children are learning how to deal with cash and save their money this week thanks to Junior Achievement.
Students at Children’s Charter School got the chance to learn about the value to earning through activities and exercises.
Junior Achievement made its way to four different elementary schools this week; volunteers say lessons like this are good to teach at a young age.
"With the financial state of our nation, it’s more important than ever to teach these kids how to save money and to pay for their needs before they buy their wants," stated
On Friday, the organization will be bringing these lessons to University Terrace.
