More than 16 million American children face hunger. This September, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign by raising funds in their restaurants.

By dining out at Mellow Mushroom and ordering a Bruschetta appetizer, Mellow Mushroom will donate $1 to the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. In addition to this in store element, those that would like to donate additionally can do so at www.nokidhungry.org/mellowmushroom.

Those who donate $10 or more will receive a bounce back offer to use in store through October 31 for a Half Spiked Sausage Hoagie, Chips and a Fountain Drink. For those that donate $25 or more, Mellow Mushroom will by you this free meal, along with sending you a limited edition Mellow Mushroom T-shirt once the campaign wraps up at the end of September.

In 2012, restaurants raised $5.9 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign—funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S.; create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need; support nutrition programs like School Breakfast and Summer Meals; and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
