LSU researcher receives $1.4 million grant for breast cancer research

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among woman and the second leading cause of cancer death of woman in the United States.

Dr. Jun Chung and his team at LSU Health Shreveport will study the role of a critical molecule in breast cancer in a project funded by a new 5-year, $1.4-million grant from the National Cancer Institute.

Chung hopes to develop therapeutic strategies to help fight a critical molecule that advances the deadly disease.
