Volunteers from Capital One Bank and the Heart of America Foundation teamed up to help revamp the library at Bernard Terrace Elementary School.

Volunteers painted the walls, brought in new furniture and restocked the book shelves with brand new books.

They say the goal was to create a safe, comfortable space for students to develop their love of reading.

"You can't have math without reading; you can't have art without reading. Everything really starts with the ability to read, and to appreciate and love reading,” stated John Flynn with the Heart of America.

It's all part of Capital One Bank’s "One Week", where staffers volunteer on projects that help out their local communities.
