BATON ROUGE, LA — Guarantee Girls, Inc. is doing its part to improve the quality of life for local cancer patients by partnering with Cleaning for a Reason, an organization that offers free professional housecleaning and maid services to women undergoing cancer treatment.
“Maid services have been doing this in small ways for years,” said Debbie Sardone, founder of Cleaning for a Reason. “Our members, such as [Guarantee Girls], have had a hard time turning down an individual who needs their house cleaned while battling cancer and cannot afford maid services.”
Guarantee Girls has been involved since 2006 and is one of the 30 charter members of Cleaning for a Reason. Though the foundation requires its providers to take two patients at a time, Guarantee Girls takes four patients and offers a deep cleaning service once a month for four months.
“We are proud of our efforts in Baton Rouge to support women who are struggling to win their fight with cancer,” said Ellen Folks, founder of Guarantee Girls. “It’s great to know that our cleaning services help with keeping a healthy for these brave women.”
In addition to partnering up with Cleaning for a Reason, pink shirts will be worn by Guarantee Girls maids throughout the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
