A Lake Charles teen gained a wish come true from State Police today. He’s going to get a chance to attend a practice with the Denver Broncos and meet his idol, Peyton Manning.

Harrison Veuleman is a sophomore at St. Louis High School in Lake Charles. He was born prematurely at 29 weeks and spent the first 7 weeks of his life in the NICU. He was born with cerebral palsy and has had numerous surgeries throughout his life due to his condition.

On Monday, Aug. 12, Veuleman was the focus of a special celebration. He’s the recipient of the Louisiana State Police “Grant a Wish” program.

“Troop D is making his dream come true,” a press release noted. “Harrison and his family will attend a practice in Denver and spend some time with Peyton afterward. They will then attend the Broncos vs. Jaguars game in Denver on October 13.”

Former Denver Bronco Kevin Guidry presented him with the dream trip today and also declared the day Harrison Veuleman Day.
