Governor's FY 15 budget to fully fund merit increases for state employees
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Commissioner Kristy Nichols announced today that increases in pay based on the performance of all eligible state employees would be fully funded in the 2015 fiscal year executive budget.
These increases for state employees will be subject to Louisiana Civil Service guidelines and must follow all necessary performance standards and procedures required by the state’s Performance Evaluation System (PES).
“In order for state government to run efficiently, public servants dedicate their lives to the day-to-day operations of the people’s business,” Commissioner Nichols said.
“The people who serve Louisiana have worked to harness technology to maximize their productivity and innovate in ways that have created savings across the lines of service for each state government agency. For their dedication to the people of Louisiana, the FY 15 budget fully funds performance adjustments of more than $60 million for all eligible state employees.”
