(NBC33) — In 2013, Community Coffee reached a new landmark of more than 20,000 pounds of coffee shipped to overseas military personnel through its Military Match program.
“Every day, our U.S. military men and women show us what it truly means to go beyond,” said Jodi Conachen, a spokesperson for the Community Coffee Company.
Conachen also stated that Community Coffee makes a great addition to care packages sent to overseas military.
When customers purchase four bags of Community coffee for those serving, the company matches the order with four more bags sent to military addresses.
“The coffee that we received while deployed to Kuwait through the Military Match Program was like a slice of home here in the Middle East,” said CPT Noel S. Bellas, Commander 1021st Vertical Engineer Company, Louisiana Army National Guard, Kuwait. "It really had a positive impact on the morale of our Soldiers to have something as familiar as Community Coffee in the mornings.”
To support the Military Match program, customers need valid overseas military addresses (APO/FPO addresses). The eight bags plus a signature Military Match mug will be shipped to the APO/FPO address provided. The company covers the shipping cost of the additional 4 bags of coffee.
