Community Blues and Heritage Festival coming to Scotlandville on July 27

BREC, along with the Scotlandville Hornets Alumni Association, will host its annual Community Blues and Heritage Festival on Sat., July 27 from 1-7 p.m. at Anna T. Jordan Community Park, 1750 Stilt St.

This free family event features and children’s village with inflatables and crafts, health information and vendors, concessions and live performances by the Ray Neal Production, Lil’ Ray Neal, Tyree Neal, Bra Bra Neal, Fredrick Beal Band and Ernest Jackson. BREC asks that patrons bring their blankets and lawn chairs, but no ice chests are allowed.

A decentralized Arts Funding Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge in cooperation with the Louisiana Division of the Arts Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism and Louisiana State Arts Council support this program.
