Fresh Cuts Clean Health happening around BR

BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) -- The Fresh Cuts Clean Health campaign began this weekend at barber shops throughout Baton Rouge. The program, which is supported by Mayor Kip Holden, has one goal in mind – to screen African American males for high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. The program will also provide follow-up educational opportunities to promote prevention and healthy living.
Brandon Smith, the liaison for the LSU community partnership, joined Tammy Arender in the NBC 33 News studio Friday, Nov. 5, to discuss the program.
