Abbottabad, Pakistan (NBC) —
The compound where Osama Bin Laden was killed has been sealed by Pakistani authorities.
Reporters from around the world who have gathered there were hoping the media would be given permission to go inside Abbottabad, which is usually an upper class tourist destination.
Residents of the town say they had no idea that Bin Laden was there either, especially with many retired and active army generals living in the town.
There are soldiers on the streets, in vehicles and at checkpoints, and also the Kakul Military Academy, which is considered Pakistan's West Point.
One family lived just opposite the Bin Laden compound for the last five years. They told us they knew very little about their neighbors, and local residents are still trying to make sense of what happened here.
