A Baton Rouge rapper is hoping to stop violence in South Baton Rouge
49-year-old Arthur Reed better known as “Silky Slim," has committed himself to stopping violence among the Capital Areas' inner-city youth.
Reed says he’s used to living a life of crime, and claims he’s been arrested 77 times.
He says his life was turned around eight years ago when he was the only survivor in a horrific car wreck. Silky slim believes God kept him around to teach children the dangers of choosing a life on the streets.
