Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Three finalists have been named in search for a new chancellor at Southern University.

The former President of Savannah State University, Earl Yarbrough Sr., has not had his contract at the university renewed.

The other finalists are Southern Physics Chairman Diola Bagayoko and James Llorens, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer to Kip Holden.

The Southern Board of Supervisors will pick the new chancellor for the Baton Rouge campus on April 29.
