NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The trip down the grocery aisle this 4th of July is set to be a pricey one.
With prices rising dramatically on everything from ground beef to tomatoes, shopping experts have come up with ways to get frugal with your shopping list.
"The smartest strategy for your 4th of July party or barbecue, is to think about your menu and build it around the sales that are happening," said TheGroceryGame.com CEO Teri Gault.
Gault went on to point out that grocery stores generally offer their best bargains around the fourth, which provides a great opportunity to stock up on non-perishable items.
