EBRSO Looking For Two Inmates From Parish Prison

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies are looking for two inmates that fled from the Parish Prison this evening at approximately 10:00 p.m. after climbing over the fence of the facility.

Deputies are looking for Jeremy Ricard, 23, booked by EBRSO in March 2010 for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Leonard Thomas, 26, booked by BRPD for Resisting Arrest in December of 2009 and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Felon in Possession of a Firearm in January 2010.

According to reports, both men were working in the kitchen of the prison this evening. Shortly after all inmates working in the area were accounted for, it is believed they went out to the back dock loading area where they climbed the fence. Minutes later, deputies discovered blood where the two went over the protective fence.

Deputies immediately setup a perimeter in the area and called K-9s out for tracking.

Anyone with information as to these men's whereabouts is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. Residents can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 344-STOP.
