The Walker Police Department is having trouble collecting school uniforms for children there.

They are seeing more children who are in need of donated school uniforms than ever before, but police say the donations just aren't coming in at this point.

The department worries that they won't have enough uniforms for all the children who'll need them come August.

"I'm kind of hoping parents take an hour or so and do that now,” stated Capt. John Sharp. “July 19 is our deadline. We’ve got two weeks left, and we really need your help."

Walker Police say if you don't have clothes to give, they will accept cash donations.

For more information about how to make a donation, call (225) 664-3125.
