The Walker Police Department is now collecting uniforms, cash donations, and uniform vendor gift cards through July 11th.

These donations will help children get uniforms for the upcoming school year.

In addition to checking the uniforms of your own children to see if any have been outgrown and can be donated, please check with your neighbors, friends and family members and let them know about the importance of this program.

WPD says they continue to have a shortage of certain sizes and can only address that problem with cash & gift card donations, which allow them to purchase items.

Uniform shirts, pants, shorts, skirts and other uniform pieces can be dropped off at one of the collection barrels located at:

  • Walker Baptist Church
  • Carter’s Supermarket in Walker
  • Walker Walgreens
  • Stine’s
  • Quick & Handy Cleaners in Walker
  • Wholly Ground
  • Walker Winn Dixie.

Uniforms, monetary donations and uniform vendor gift cards may be dropped off at the Walker Police Department, located at 13179 Burgess Ave.

Monetary donations can also be mailed to us at P.O. Box 988, Walker LA 70785, however, cash should not be sent by mail.

Uniforms will be distributed on July 25th.
